Well, let's see. Bertozzi, Fletcher, Grubbs, Helms, ....I can go on & on. Lot's of cross-overs. They have their good days and bad days in NHRA as well as IHRA. I don't see their records much different between the two sanctioning bodies this year. That would lead me to believe that the competition isn't that much different either!
As for 1/8 mile racing. I suppose you'd rather not race at all than race 1/8 mile? The goals and level of competition are the same. As long as the tracks are prepped right, it should be a level playing field. In fact, I hear more about "one lane race tracks" from the NHRA side than IHRA......and that's at their national events!
I'd love to try NHRA. But time and money keep me from doing that. IHRA is less expensive in the long run.
Many others will agree. And we always welcome NHRA regulars and enjoy mixing it up with them.
