Yes Galina's Buick was real Buick motor but I believe insted of single it was twin turbo. TA now makes billet evrything for V6 just not back then.

Thats what I was thinking, Chuck. I was pretty sure the aftermarket hadn/t yet got in on the action in '02-'04 for Buick blocks, about the time John Gallina ran the 7.98, but I see what you mean about the turbos. Thanks.

I don't know. I also don't know what makes one "real" as it seems more like an opinion that differs from person to person

As for Galina's Buick - It started as a factory V6 Buick Regal and evolved from there. GNX I believe?? As I recall.

I guess a fake buick would be a sbc with dart/buick heads or sbc with GM pontiac/chevy heads. Its probably as fake as you can go.

It's been ongoing for quite some time. I see "real" pop up all the time. Not just his thread. I've been told my car isn't a "real" superstocker I've read that a Pontiac isn't "real" if it's got an EFI LS powerplant. It gets confusing and seems very opinionated. Carey, your car may not be a true super stocker in the traditional sense, but I think it was one very cool car and just stupid fast. Some friends of mine have commented on how fast it goes for being such a small motor. All we can say is "WOW". Your are to applauded for your accomplishments with that car.
