C&W, sorry to disappoint you, but you're dead wrong, there's zero percent chance NHRA would have waited for anyone in this situation. Its a far different scenario than being in with two cars in late rounds and NHRA waiting for you to get back with the second one. Anyone that runs two cars is afforded that simple courtesy. Joe has been in that situation many times.
This is the designated first 3 pairs deal that seems to make everyone sooooo friggin' happy. Joe is a friend of mine. He has driven my car before. I haven't spoke to him about this, but I can only guess he wasn't aware he was a designated pair.
Simple to address if he was aware, even being last in stock with 15 pairs of sc in between. Drive the stocker to scales, park it, scooter it up to the ss car that dad had waiting in the lanes. End of story. I guarantee it won't happen to him again.
I love to rail against the machine as much as the next guy, but I'm missing where NHRA did anything wrong.
