Default Re: F.A.S.T. or HOLLEY DOMINATOR

I work with both, I don't agree with your dyno guy. The Holley system is fine, but I prefer FAST. Their "self tuning " ability is over rated, IMHO. Maybe in a slow car? In the car I have worked most using the Holley, a 427" COPO, if the fuel "map" was lean at 6500, (in lower gears where it wound up faster, especially) by the time it got the fuel added, it was at 7000, using the next cel. If it was not lean at 7000, it was now rich at 7000. Kinda chasing it's tail. After I got it dialed in in open loop, I put it back in closed loop, and it corrects and repeats very well.
I'm wondering if your dyno guy sells the Holley? :-)
Sure a lot of class fast class winning cars at Indy using FAST.
As I said, the Holley system is fine also. I have found nothing you mentioning him saying about the differences to be accurate.
