I've used both brands. No difference or problems with either.

3 tow vehicles......

2 pickups with Firestones. First set was over 10 years old and never leaked. Have a set in my current truck about 5 years old, no leaks.

Just put a set of Air Lifts in my Motorhome and they work just as well.

Here is another option. Supersprings. I put them on my Kodiak Motorhome and the ride is fine with or without the trailer. Don't worry about them losing air either.

Had problems with a rocks puncturing holes in mine.

Very odd because there is only one way to get them hit.
Right in front of the rear tire is a straight shot in between the springs.

Replaced 4 of them over the years right and left and the same locations.

So got a piece of thick flexible vinyl and wrapped them between the spring and airbag.

Seems to be working and the Spring does not wear again the bag.

I've been very happy with the Airlift Loadlifter 5000 that I purchased for my Suburban. I had a set of Helwig over-load springs on the truck, and while they worked very well, they weren't adjustable and gave me a very harsh ride when I didn't have the trailer connected. If I have a chance this Summer I'm going to upgrade the installation with their on-board compressor system.
