Oh ok great, the 427/425 combo is what we will be running. Did you see a major difference between the radials vs bias ply with that combo?

We've always run the Hoosier light weight radials.

I'm not real sure I'd run a 5.13, unless you're running really bad air, and bias ply tires.

If you don't mind going a little off topic, Alan and Bpozzi,, whats the lifter of choice being used in the 427/425s. I've got a buddy snooping around that combo, so I'd like to steer him in the right direction. Thanks for any info.

These days, I use only Trend tool steel. On a steel billet cam, coated. On a cast iron core, uncoated. The coated NASCAR level lifter is very expensive, but it just plain works for steel billet cams.
