Years ago, there were two such cars that were both pretty successful in SS/IA with 383's, but they might have been later models with T-Quads (if the 383's ever had T-Quads).... dunno. One was the Dave Smith (ProTrans) car out of California, and the other was Dave Boertman's , who may have won a Championship with that car.... maybe not. I just remember reading that it was fast...

At any rate, both were VERY competitive, if my memory serves me correctly. But, I think they both ran mainly in SS/IA, not J. Dunno what that was all about; maybe the HP factors were different then, or maybe they just didn't like the idea of ballast, but they were tough... both of them.

Hope this is accurate and that it helps some..
