I don't really care whether the first or worst red light rule were to be put in place but the reality is that you can't look at current statistics to mean anything as the tree is not blinded. This is obviously skewing what actions are taken by the faster car. Seeing the red come on the other side of the tree would obviously affect how the faster driver reacts.
