That's aChevy truck based Olyenick hauler the car is sitting on. What the photo doesn't show is the winch cable under the car that pulled it up into the back of the truck as well as the tie down strap under there holding it to one of the rear floor tie downs. I was helping that particular racer, with his 69 SS/E Camaro, work under the car in one of those trucks just like that in the 70s. The truck certainly isn't going anywhere and the nose of the undercarriage, I am certain, is quite tied down inside the back. That was always the easiest way to do clutch and trans work back then and still is with that hauler.

That's what I meant to say Scott, the car is nosed into the truck but typed trailer instead. I need more coffee... Most unobstructed access to a cars drivetrain back then. Somewhere I have a lot of old pictures from the SportsNationals in Bowling Green with folks doing the very same thing. Did it myself with a "borrowed" truck to change front shocks on a GN at a GS Nationals long ago.

Burnouts from the Dutch. You got to hand it to Gary Richard, he sure knows how to do a burnout for the camera.

Those Oylinick enclosed conversion trucks were a neat deal. I had one. Just as described, hook the winch to the front, get the ramps out of the way. Great fro clutches & tranny work. I liked it a lot better than a trailer.
