That must be exciting to be part of the group that developed that car.

It most certainly is an amazing car the likes of which we might not see again if the insurance industry decides that they want nothing to do with it.

NHRA/SFI must have know about this project with last year's implementation of 25.6 sfi specification. All prior specs have a 3600# max but 25.6 is 5000# ok so the new spec was for heavier vehicles such as diesel trucks with 1200 HP and the likes but at least there's an option. Wonder how much different from the 25.5c?

That NHRA letter is from November and they are just releasing it now, five months later?

3000 is a lot, anyone know how that compared to the numbers of new GT350 Mustangs or ZL1 Camaros?

Being a forced induction combination, Im not sure it would change enough to put it in back in the tens in average air.

Looking at the video, the track looked like and is ENGLISHTOWN, in New Jersey.

From what I've seen of the cobra jets they seem to be exponentially better and exponentially worse with DA numbers. Event to event you can get a handle on one but I've seen same car swing .5 or more through the year.
The bigger the blower the more it's gonna move on ya. I was referring to a 4.0 Whipple above so maybe the 2.9 has a smaller window. Bottom line is when you take in great air you can really pack it in there and when the atmosphere isn't so generous the boost is way down. I think the marketing people know what their doing on the numbers. Disappointments ahead

I cannot say for sure about a super charged car but I have a couple old Turbo Buicks and the colder the day the faster they go. The limiting factor being the cold track and I think they had that track glued for a fuel car. The car is very impressive but I don't think you will see those times with the average rich kid owning it and a hot day.
