I was looking through a catalog for rebuild kits for these and it looks like the earlier units have a larger input shaft bearing, so I'm getting that impression Mark. So a 5K clutch dump might be a bit much? A few times I was tempted to try what the ricer guys are doing and just put it on the rev limiter, 6200 in my case. Fear got the best of me.

Without a posi (or welded 🕷️ gears) getting a burnout that yielded a 60ft better than no burnout happened only once. That was the 2.15. That one bit but everything else is spinning a little. The waterbox guys tell me it spins one side a little and then the other. So I don't think I'll bother with a burnout anymore. Until I get the diff fixed, I can't accurately say how it "hits". 4k was a decent leave.

If you aren't going to run a Posi/Spool don't do a burnout. With one wheel spinning faster than the other the side gears stick to the diff pin. That snaps the retaining bolt, the pin comes out hits the case and cracks it wide open. Ask me how I know LOL

The car Mark is advertising is a great buy IMO, have thought about snapping it up to run during the summer in the PNW when we’re out there. I’ve gone to Divisional races at Mission, Bremerton (National Open), Woodburn (great little track), Pacific etc. but spectating is hard to do....please, somebody buy it already!
