Love the video. Question if you don't mind. Steve, do you run a stick? It looks like you've been racing your Escort for a while. How well do the transaxles hold up for you?

I've always thought that it would be interesting to look into putting the FWD cars into the RWD classes with a 4-5 lb. per hp. weight break.

If we add Yac's 26 lb. class, with a 5 lb. break it would weigh 2015, with a 4 lb. break it would weigh 2105. Right now for EF it has to weigh 2370.
I know that those cars are light but I don't know if it could be lightened THAT much!

Talking Re: Where did the FWD stockers go?

The Cimarron was in storage for years and I was told it had been stolen. My Spirit (Artie Leongs old car) that I ran for many years I sold after I bought George Widuch's Volare Stocker. The Spirit was completely redone and looks beautiful but as far as I know is just sitting in a garage. I also had a SRT4 Neon that I ran in A/FS but I sold that also. At one time I owned the A-D/FS records all at once. Those little cars are a lot of fun but very difficult to drive competitively. All in all I had 18 National Records, 36 class wins and no race wins. Fun times! Jim

Hey Dave. Yes I run a stick. It makes it more fun. The Trans doesn't hold up well once you start Leaning on them hard. The Diff's are an issue, second gear syncro's are a problem and the cases don't like being abused. I have more money in the transaxle than I do in the engine.

Hmm, looks like I better stock up on these transaxles. Unless you know of a supplier for internals of these gearboxes? Yes, its more fun rowing gears.

The Junk yard is the best supply of parts LOL. Sadly they are getting hard to find. Last time I needed something I went to Liberty Gears. I've got mine to the point where it's pretty reliable. It's a bit slower but I don't have to bring a spare trans with me everywhere I go.

Send me a PM I'll give you some tips.
