Get a grip Dan, the world is not ending. Lets not get political here or Ken's going to rip us all. In early of 2009 to mid 2010 H1N1 killed 12,500 Americans. That administration waited nearly 7 months to call it a national emergency in the United States. Lets all be calm and not panic. 102 U.S. auto accident deaths every day just to put it in perspective.

To get a little bit back to the original topic I think NHRA is promoting Sportsman racing more than in the past.

A couple of examples would be the "Attention in the Pit's" Youtube shows and a Sportsman results email I saw recently.

Difference was CDC was already dealing with H1N1.
We knew what it was and had an antidote and got to the public.
Matter was distribution and public awareness to get people vaccinated.
Hence the outcome.

An agency was added by previous administration to be more responsive to pandemics.
I was was shut down in 2018.
There is no antidote for this new strain.
This new strain is not H1N1...

None of what I said political, Just stated facts.
Including a campaign to discredit the facts.

You are correct the world is not ending today.
Maybe for someone else!

That is not correct. The Agency you are speaking of was "absorbed" into HHS.
There is no need for a separate govt. run agency for everything. It's not financially responsible and it's not efficient. Quit with the political innuendos.

If you don't want to get political -- and I agree with that -- stick to the facts.

jwamuel, and if you read that politifact it says exactly what I posted. I suggest you read it fully and other than it took 6 months and not 7 for him to call it, I may have been off a few days. Now lets get back to race talk.

Politifact is owned by the Poynter Institute, a non-profit journalism school in Tampa,Fla. and was started by the Tampa Tribune. Just more of the fake media.

This is typical of how these so-called fact checkers operate.
The F/B poster left out a word (national), so they declare the whole post to be FALSE.

In my way of thinking , the point for comparing this to the swine flu, is that I don't remember major events being cancelled 10 years ago, the panic buying of TP, the non-stop media attention, as in this case. Anybody else remember anything like this?
Why all the media panic stirring this time? I'll let you be the judge.

This is NOT the Swine Flu..(Oh look the squirrel)
There are Vaccines to help mitigate it.
One of the reasons Flu shots are free.

There is NO Antidote - NO Vaccine for CV19
None will be forth coming for about a year.
The WHO and CDC are finally getting traction.

Feel free to listen to Denial Media.

Fact are facts, easy to peer review.
EVERY Government in the world is involved.

And because of that is must be political.
