1. Calvin feel free to promote your own race. Your race...your rules.
2. Who said there would be no teardown? 3. This is JBD's race...they can set up the rules as they see fit. Support it or not...your choice. Most racers race Stock and Super Stock for the challenge inserted by the rules (which include car, engine, and race conduct...as in indexes and possible heads up runs). The conduct of the Stock and Super Stock race is becoming more like Comp, where the thought goes into the race prior to and during qualifying. Quote:

Let's put this to rest, all the 20k races will be an all run. It does not matter how many entries their are. He is going to run Stock and Super Stock separately until it is down to one car. Then that car will join the other class.

First off I have no intention of promoting my own race. Had my fun Promoting Slot Car racing a few years ago. Way easier to deal with. I may have misunderstood about tear down, from reading all the post. My Bad! Second, I think this is a GREAT thing that JBD is doing for Stock & Super Stock. I understand that this is Class Racing, Not a Bracket Race. But it is not a NHRA sanction race either. So rules can and will be made to please the racer and the promotor. It was just a thought, with this much money on the line. I really feel that there will be hundreds of race cars there, a lot of D1 guys planning to attend. Calvin Starcher SS/SST/SG 1177 |
