Just wondering if they also change it to the little go now?

Angry Re: AHFS at Indy?

I have gone to Indy 18 straight years and I have stayed for all 6 days all of those years. With this asinine decision by the NHRA, I will not be going to Indy this year. I will be canceling my rental car and hotel reservations; and I haven't bought tickets yet because I was waiting to see if AHFS would be in effect. Leave it to the NHRA to screw something else up.

The US Nationals should be a "let 'er rip" event! No doubt.

I have been there twice, 2021 and 2023. In both cases, I knew it would be tough to make the field. 2021 was the COVID mess, but did qualify and won a round. 2023 got in as a alternate. Won a couple of rounds and cashed a check.

I went because I wanted to experience THE greatest event on the NHRA schedule. Mission accomplished.

You haven't been there, go! Don't put it off. You might wake up some day and can't walk. That's what happened to me.

Life can change in a hurry. Take advantage of your opportunities while you can!

Normally I would laugh at NHRA'S short comings, but this was the only race I was looking forward to going to... Not anymore.

I'm sure Junior Dragsters will put on a great show at this circus.

Get together and run Class like Gaffney does the AA shootout. 30 pounds under the maximum and self police it. That gets 95% down to 95 under.

As much as I like this idea, the effects are more harsh on combinations with lower torque to hp ratios like the NA cobra jets.

I seem to recall that back in the 70's, the Mopar factory guys did something like that. They had a sperate race at another track to predetermine who would win class so they wouldn't get dinged when they ran class at Indy.
