I remember all those guys. Lee was a real gentlman, and his cylinder heads were without compare. On my C/SM car, I had heads from three other well known cylinder head shops I won't name, and a set from Lee. The others all flowed the same, and all ran ran the same, except Lee's. Much better flow bench numbers, and over a tenth and close to two MPH faster. In my book, the guy was a genius. Didn't brag, just a quite, very nice man. David Reher and Buddy Morrison also, always very helpful with straight answers and no B.S. Loosing Lee and Buddy was really a loss to the racing comunity.

Bud,

Some great old stuff there. I remember pushing cars back and forth in the water box, why we did that? I can't tell anyone, guess because we saw everyone else do it?

And the dry hops. I think I did more damage to my old Mustang back in the 70's due to those. Usually after doing a burnout, you would do two or three hard dry hops prior to staging. Broke more axles doing that than I care to remember.
