Less than stock lift is fine.

I think it is prudent to leave a few Thousands on the table as insurance in
tear down as there is zero tolerance. We leave .003 to .005 on all our stockers at a minimum. The tech men have a bunch of measurements to do in the field in a short time.....If the dial indicator is not at a perfect 90 degree angle and off very much it will not read accurately. That said we do try to make the lifts on every cylinder as equal as humanly possible. My .02 worth |
