Thanks, Dwight; I was in Iowa all the time he raced that car, so I never got to see it run, but I figured you probably saw it lots of times.

Anybody remember Hue-Baby Waters on the NC east coast,. I was very young back then but remember it as being 56 or 57 oldsmobile. The back rims were painted half black and other half white. He ran back in the day when Mr Ed,Bobby Warren,Garley Daniels, Troy Dennis, Sox @ Martin and many other legends. By the way he was no kin to me that i know of .Sure would love to see some more old pictures from Kinston Drag Strip. If you go on kdsmotorsports.com and scroll down to bottom you can click on some really nice old old photos taken there .Most of these photos were taken by the lata Wayne Greenway. He was the track announcer for as long as i can remember ,even as i began racing and then my son also. One of the best in the business.. Take a look and enjoy.

Maybe I'm biased but how about Howard Barsky's 1957 two door station wagon with 283 cubic inches and dual wcfb carbs running 11 teens in SS/NA going through the traps at 9300 rpm

You aren't biased Mike. Standing at the finishline and listening to Howards car come by is like seeing and hearing the great old G/MP cars like Fat Fred Hartman, Hildebrandt and Siriani,FJ. .......uH OH , I'm getting misty eyed. ........Tom

Two of the oddest combos I've seen would have to be the U/SA AMC Matador Sta. Wgn. from Cal. It had a 304 2V combination and was on this website for sale last year.
The other would have to be Bob Shaw's 4dr Cadillac Seville that holds the T/SA record now I believe. Joe Huestis ANNIE'S SONG L/SA 9724 |

I ran a 4cyl. 63 Chevy II in Z/sa . It wasnt very quick but it was the only one around. Dave Danish cut his hand on a rust hole in the fender at the first points meet I ever entered. I think the only reason he let me race at all was because he had never seen one .The engine had the same specs. as a 194 cu. 6 cyl except it was only 151 cu...

How about Ellis Buth in W/S with a Pinto Wagon. One of these days he may need a new pair of slicks. NHRA record holder 15.83. His brother Marty isn't much of a slouch with the "Half a V-8" Turbo T-Bird. Marty usually qualifies near the top of the field.
