So i'm now looking at the Ford Probe turbo car as a possibility. It is in the guide in '91 through '93 but it says NES (no engine spec). Why is it even in the guide if they don't have any specs for it?

Sean, the body is in there, so it may be used as a SS/GT, Modified car, etc. In March of 2000, I went to a Nat'l Open in Delmar Delaware with a rental car, to gain a grade point. It was a 1999 Grand Am SE four door. I had not done all my homework, and had not noticed the "NES" listed for that combination. The tech person said the car was not eligible because of the NES. When asked why the car was still in the Guide, that is the reason he gave me. Which didn't make sense to me, since four door cars (at the time) were not legal for SS/GT (at the time, 1980 and newer two doors only in GT). But, I was a nineteen year old rookie and didn't want to argue or make any waves. I wouldn't be so nonchalant about it now. I would have been perfectly happy to be allowed the grade point, make one run, and get DQ'd at fuel check. It wouldn't run the Index anyways, so it wasn't like I was going to win the race. I ended up getting my entry money back, and ran the bracket race with it. But, I believe that is the answer to your question. If I am wrong, Travis or someone I'm sure can correct me/us.
