Now granted Indy is "INDY", and Gainesville is right there in his back yard, but what about Denver, Co., and the "Mopar Mile High Nationals"??? I'm surprised that the lone Mopar sponsored NHRA race they have isn't included???

MPR is on the number according to my information. I think I have a couple of numbers of my cars. Hopefully next week production.

The sad part is that we saw the introduction of the "Drag Pak" car at Vegas 2 years ago and it still is not anywhere to be found.
Ford announced their package 4 months ago and already have a National Event win. I'm just sayin'.................... |

>>>"already have a National Event win."<<<
Not too hard to do when NHRA "awards" you a HP factor that is straight out of the Twilight Zone...

Can you explain how the horsepower factor came into play, when there were no heads up runs, and eliminations are a bracket race?

It didn't. But, it might have... and, that's the rub. Can you guarantee it won't be involved in any heads up runs for the rest of the year?
THAT is the problem... No, it didn't matter at this particular race, but it surely could have. Can YOU explain how the NHRA tech department can be so naive as to "buy" the number that Ford suggested? I can, but I won't.... not the place.

I did not see where John had any heads-up runs. The man flat out drove the car with some pretty good lights and good dialing. Sour grapes is what I hear from you sir. |

John Calvert is a very good driver. What's that got to do with he fact that his car is seriously under-factored and you're apparently afraid to use your real name when you post? Obfuscation and paranoia is what I hear from you.

What's the factor got to do with it at all at this time? It's not like there is any bogus GM factors out there, or any other Ford or Chrysler for that matter. He's already in A/S, where else you want him to go? Will this be the first combination to ever be refactored after the first race? John did a great job and Mopar is still nowhere to be found. Ford got cars into the hands of real racers, not some worn-out fuel driver who will show the car a couple times and put it in his museum. Why should I be paranoid? I'm just giving John/Ford their due, unlike you who seems jealous that John got another win. Dennis Schumers LaGrange Park, IL 708/254-3761 NHRA #331K Good enough for ya? |
