Default Pro-Am race at Osceola IN

I see they changed it to 1/8th mile this year. How's come?

Just my opinion, but the car count for Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, and even the Rod classes was down last year for fear of a short shut down area. So to go 1/8th mile might bring some of those cars back. Speaking from the stocker perspective, I wish they would leave it 1/4 mile for stock and super stock. I can see the point for those 7-8 sec cars needing more shutdown than what Osceola has, but leave us S/SSers alone!

My guess it has something to do with the Top Sportsman BBQ that was held at the top end last year - and I'm not talking about the kind you bring hot dogs and s'mores to. Thank goodness the driver was ok, but it was scary for the track. Not to mention just a few weeks later, Osceola suffered their first ever fatality at the track. Ruth is probably nervous, and I guess I wouldn't blame her.
