But an interesting comment on the Mopar stuff although it has to do with big block Mopars which use a totally different tray set up than small block Mopars; I had Allan Lee rebuild my 500 wedge a few years back and amongst the stuff I gave him to put it together was a Charlie’s fabricated pan with a screen type tray built in and I also gave him a Milodon tray as it looked to me like the pan had a lot more clearance to the crank than the Milodon tray did.
Allan left out the Milodon tray when he built the motor and told me that the dyno results on his Hemi’s showed the pans with the built in diamond screen type windage trays made more power than using the factory or Milodon louvered tray.
On my Stocker engine I used the Ishihara-Johnson metal scraper and was very happy with it. Never compared it on the dyno but the 390 AMC made some pretty good power. I'm building a new SS engine and I have the Ishihara-Johnson zero-clearance scraper going in. It's a nylon or teflon type material. For those not familiar with Ishihara-Johnson, they have a web-site http://www.crank-scrapers.com/ and I believe they have an e-bay store.

Jeff,
I think you will be pleased with the zero clearance Teflon one. It’s actually way easier to install than a plain steel one. You can trim the Teflon insert with a razor knife or tin snips, and you only have to get close and let rotating assembly do the rest of the work on its own.
I’ve been patiently waiting a few weeks now for their newest design which is a dual scraper.
