Sounds like they mayhave some different diminsions than some of the older yokes. ....the Spicer one I have on the old car measured 3'' long ,and the new yokes they offer are shown at 3.500". ....You'll know right away if the collar is against the seal. ....Tom

On my dana I turned the ID of the collar with the magnets so I could clamp it to the dust shield on the spicer yoke. I may have put some bearing locktite on it too. Hasn't moved in three years.

A friend of mine had the standard yoke on his Dana, but he wanted to install a ring without spending the money on a new yoke, so we just chucked it up in the lathe and cut a recess in the yoke to install the ring. It looks just like the yoke's that were made for the ring when your done and it's holding up fine in his manual stocker. Shawn
