Ed, I have no problem paying the extra fee's. And yes I am still upbeat about racing with NHRA.

so Jack, did you at least split with Kenny? that would be the gentlemen like thing to do, since you did flip for him.

Reading these posts makes me sad.
In the 50's, 60's and even the 70's we loved the NHRA and I think the NHRA loved us.
Are things really that different now or is Is it because we're older now and wiser (?) and see it differently?
I don't really think my perspective is that different now from what it was when I was young.
So, how could things have changed so drasticly?

The current payout grid for the Carolina Class Racers Association (100% payback) for 50 entries has a total purse of $3750 and breaks down to $2205 win $945 r/u $150 semi's and $100 qtrs. Imagine if we had 100 cars show up...and we are the show! Check out our schedule through the events section, our first race of the season is this Saturday. Just an alternative w/ a very good payout.

Dan,

Impressive post! Not many racers have the potential to earn as much money as you do at a National event. I may be out of the sport by Indy. But, I will not enter Indy if the racers decide to boycott the race; providing I still have a race car.

The really bad thing about this organization is that it is totally tone deaf. They are paying the pros an additional million dollars this year and raising our fees. They just don't get it.
