Default Basic Math @ Atlanta

About 280 Sportsman Racers @ $250 (old price) is $70,000. Allow 1.5 discount $85 4 day pass per entry 420 @ $85 is 35,700. Total intake (probably a little conservative) $105,700. Payout Includes Comp @ 11,000, SS, SG, SC, @ 14,300 each S/ST @ 5,250 is $59,150. So there is about $50,000 to pay parking people, our share of tech, and other items that might apply to Sportsman Only. Those numbers ought to work for NHRA. Now if you include the alcohol classes, you pick up few entries, and about $67,000 in additional payouts. There is no T/AD or TA/FC in Atlanta. Now we are not very pretty. Now if I was a businessman I would look at just what profit centers are available to me especially in times such as these. Did I miss anything?

Madison & Atlanta should both draw a pretty good field of Stockers. It's not like the tracks are out in the middle of no where... Isn't Top Sportsman a limited field? NHRA says they need money.. I just don't see the logic in the decision to drop the stockers & run Top Whatever.

Logic? You're expecting logic?

TOP/SPortsman was a race paid by another outside sponsor I believe.

Yep, that math Dick uses is similar to NHRA's. Race cost NHRA "0" & who got all the entry fees? NHRA could have still made more money having Stock & paying the usual purse... Spin that one Dick! I'm sure you have a spin or two left.
