Rev limiter on the brake pedal

I have heard using a brake light activation switch functions well, any other application ideas? The biggest question is, How do you not acitvate the rev limiter any other time you are pushing hard on the brake pedal, ie, finish line etc. This seems like a concern, maybe its not. This comes up every couple months, so I keep this picture handy. That micro switch on the shifter is only activated in low gear
