Runs included in the AHFS database are limited to final qualifying runs (Q data) and final elimination runs (E data) at NHRA national events only. (At events where class eliminations are run, all runs are included in the AHFS database. Only the first round of class is part of qualifying and therefore is part of the "Q" database.) The "Q" data and "E" data files are the official data gathered by the NHRA timing system and processed through the NHRA Information Technology department. NHRA "Q" data and "E" data are the only data files used for the AHFS.

Huh? Do they make this as confusing as possible,so they can manipulate it?

Unhappy Re: Automatic Horsepower Factoring System

Just as I was thinking the 350/255 will get HP.
The average will be too high to beat it down..
Thanks for the opinion

James, I think that anyone who runs that combo can not now go -50 and count it toward the avg. The AHPS take the best run at all National events of an indivdiual for the period. So if an individual goes -1.17 at the Gators and then -.50 at Englishtown they use the -1.17. The same individual can not avg down the runs, some one who has not run can only bring down the avg.

I think.......Some one else verify that.

I don't think it works like that,,,,,the 1 off combo's would be hit the all the time.
I would think it would be the average of all the recorded runs for that period being looked at.

NITRO JOE might have a better idea.

You're wrong Joe. The AHFS takes the best run of each national event into consideration when averaging a combo. If you run 4 nationals during a review period and you're combo has triggered a review, then your best run at each national will be counted in that average. If you go -1.17 somewhere, it would benefit you go to another national during that review period to try to lower your average in case it gets triggered!!!

The class average is what is bs!!! That's when your combo will get hit, when someone runs in a class by themselves and triggers the review! If you, or nobody else runs that class, you can't lower the "class avg!!" This has been happening in SS/GT w/the smaller front wheel drive conversion cars!!

Mark are you talking about NHRA manipulating the AHFS or the racers manupulating the AHFS?

No., I wasn't talking about the racers...this time.
That paragraph contradicts itself. Instead of editing it, if that's what they did, why not just write a new paragraph?
Or sentence?
How about this? ALL runs at National events count towards the AHFS.
Which is what it says,..or does it?
