Powder coating is basically a paint and is legal in all classes.....Only plating is prohibited on SFI spec chassis...... [ the Pro's don't usually paint their chassis for weight and repair/inspection reasons.] .....I usually have the guys who do my powder coatings put small mylar spots on every bar, so they can be removed for the chassis inspector to get a good measurement spot.......Tom
