I saw Doug Duell's Evansville Dodge is on the dealerships to be closed list. All the best to them.

Cool Re: Challenger Drag Pack

Jeff Teuton: Please keep us updated on this issue.... Several racers have brought the same question as Chad Rhodes to me. What if the Challenger Drag Pack Program is dead in the water? I went directly to NHRA sorces and ask the same question at St. Louis. I was told the "approval" of the Drag Pack Challenger is based on Chrysler keeping up there end of the contract of producing at least 50 cars. "If" Chrysler does not keep up their end of the deal, the "approval" will have to be re- evaluated! This could have an effect on cars already being built or being run. My guess is the cars that exist will be too valuable to race anyhow !!!

I submitted my application wel within time but apparently wsn't "approved" anyone here know what the criteria was for purchasing one? The dealership I ordered it through even called back to Mopar & was told it was properly completed, so they had to have recieved it. Any idea (I'm affraid to ask) why a "little guy" would be passed over & not even given the courtesy of being told he's "out"?
