Mark,
I,m not sure but I wouldn't be suprised if its not a 173 CI multiport v6 that has not made the classifacation guide yet. Once they get that sorted out our beloved 55 chevies will be in trouble. 135 hp from the factory I think.

Or, possibly it's a mistake in identifying the type of car. It could fit if happens to be a '96 Caprice or Impala with the L99, 265 cubic inch, "baby" LT1. It's very heavy for the class but it's a decent combination.

It is an Impala or Caprice. He ran it in stock in past years.

There were a lot of errors on the sheets from Martin this week. No, Alex isn't driving a 1996 Mustang. And both days we had to wait until just before eliminations for a sheet/ladder as they couldn't get everyone's classes/cars/comp. numbers correct. It was on both IHRA and the racers' heads. Some racers neglected to change their competition numbers to the correct IHRA numbers, and not sure why IHRA didn't enter the tech cards right, but they sure didn't. I filled out Alex's cards both days and I am SURE I didn't write a 1996 Mustang.

You remind me of the time I filled out the entry card for my 07 Ranger at a car show. I was looking at some older cars as I filled out the card and I wrote down 67 for the year. I didn't look at the entry card they gave me to place on the dash until one of the spectators commented to me that "it doesn't look like a 67". How embarassing.
