Thanks for the reply Bub, I am aware of the lift rules, I just would have thought that there must be a better way than resorting to spring pressure, and the problems that come with it.

The performance products intake seems to be quicker in the 1/4.
The GM Performance Parts intake runs good in the 1/8. I'm currently running the GM intake.
