The Young's are some of the best people in the sport. I run into Tom every now and then, and he, and Jim have always been gentlemen, both on and off the track. I met these guys back in the 70's, and I think about Jim all the time. I will never forget the day he came to 75-80 with that brand new 75 Dodge. I think it was in J/SA. He will be missed. God bless them, and their families.

I met Jim & Tom Young back in the early 1970's..........and have been good friends with the Youngs all these years later. Both Jim and Tom were very focussed drag racers and I missed seeing them at the track in resent years.
Jim will be missed, and our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. Jim was an asset to our hobby and loved his Mopars. I always loved hearing him share his experiences purchasing his brand new 1966 hemi Dodge at Buell dodge in Glen Burnie, and the 440 Charger in 1968. Jim was one of the lucky ones who got to experience our hobby during the greatest time for high performance cars, the 1960's. And he never lost his love for the hobby. Jim was a great guy and I for one, will miss him a lot! Baltimore has lost more than its share of class racers over the years. This is another sad and deep loss for all of us.
