Finally, somebody bust up the index. Maybe now some of the guys that were complaining will keep quiet now that the Fords get some HP added.

Unless it has changed,I believe that he needs to run more than 1.40 under the sea level index to get any horsepower. He "only" ran 10.51.He needs to go 9.90 in order to get horsepower I think.

Jared, Chad 129.62, Jimmy 129.30 round one, I think Jimmy went 130+ second round, 1320go.com didn`t list second & third rounds for stock, Tom

The blower cars will naturally run better on the mountain compared to N/A cars.

Question Re: Denver D-5 stock qualifying

As regards the Roots-blown Mustangs at altitude....

Do they run better in thin air compared to how they run in good air, since they're not allowed to change blower drive pulley ratios?

I'm thinking they may well lose just as much percentage-wise, as a normally aspirated car would, when compared with their sea-level performance numbers.

The blown cars in modified classes have the advantage over normally-aspirated cars at altitude because they can alter supercharger drive ratios, and stuff more air into the engine to make up for the thin air, but these Stocker/blower cars can't do that. A turbo car would be interesting, in that situation, for sure...

Food for thought...
