I broke a Strange axle in a 10 second, 2,850lb footbrake Challenger after about 8-10 years and thousands of runs. A friend who had the car before had a 440/4 speed, but only for a year or two. But I never had any issues with the 2-3 sets of Moser axles and spools I've bought.

Tom,
Thanks for that link showing severly lightened flanges. I knew I'd seen that somewhere... just couldn't remember where. I think these axles are going to work well for me; just didn't think much of the way they were delivered, with the rough spots and the lack of that access hole in the flanges. Hopefully, my ol' junk won't hurt 'em. Bill
