Before they put the wording in the rule book roughly 10 yrs. ago regarding aluminum driveshafts in older cars, I installed one and did a back-to-back test and picked up absolutely zilch in e.t. The same race I tested it at, they were using a magnet to check the driveshafts on every stocker that went across the scales. At the end of that year, they banned them on the older cars (that never had one as O.E.M.). Needless to say, that driveshaft suddenly became a rather large and expensive door stop.
