You might not see a Camaro any time soon.. No one to promote[ CHEVY employees] the HP issue.. @400 hp needs to be rated @ 325 [auto] 425 stick [350] which should be equal to Challenger.. Unless you buy a fullly loaded Camaro to build you can not order a strip down model. I put mine on the lift and well it neat but alot of work to build. NHRA needs to help with this combo.. It WOULD make a nice race car

A friend has a auto. Says he wants to make it go 11's and still be streetable. He's already done e.f.i. live computer tuning, Yank 3600 converter. Needs some tires, gear and headers, and it should, 3900+ raceweight and all ...time will tell. WJ

Bobbie, I had just what you need for your new Camaro in here yesterday. A black 6 speed SS version brought here for tuning with an ATI Procharger. ATI brought it down. After I tuned it, with 7 lbs of boost it made 542 rwhp, with 6 lbs (different pulley) it made 526. Very conservative tunes. New car, still had the paper dealer tag. Just what you need for yours.

A thought about racing one of those. Your gonna need a wide trailer. I had to help the guy put that one back in the trailer for the return trip. A new ATC trailer, and there was very little room on each side. It was close enough he wasn't comfortable loading by himself, and he loads & hauls a lot of cars in his job there. He said none so far has been that wide. Had to pull one ramp door cable out so the mirrors could clear.

I doubt GM would be interested in a warantee for one that had a supercharger added as that one did. They don't want the calibrtion tampered with at all. I don't think a person that would modify their new car should expect the warantee to cover anything they modified.

Why did they build them so heavy? Gas milage? If the corporations go bankrupt does that mean you don't have to pay for them?
