As far as the huge differences in speed, it wouldn't bother me. I raced Billy Nees' 17-18 second, 75 mph HF/SA Sunbird for four years. I was always facing huge speed differentials. I never worried about what would happen if a much faster car lost control and hit me. I figure by the time they would lock the brakes at the stripe and spin, they'd already be past me.

Championship points and alot of $$ at stake running 1320 i would probably choose a very High Compression engine in a very slick car..with transbrake that vary's probably less than one hundred of a second between runs..but thats me....what do i know

IF the NHRA decided to run combo's and you think the transbrake is an advantage then just have them take the wire on the solinoid or allow Stockers to run one too then we could move on to throttle stops, delays, timers and ....there you have it ....we're bracket racers! Jim R

i have said it before and i will say it again. spec heads designed by other than car companies, with one of there reps on sight to check said heads, give every class an index off lbs. per c.i., run them out the back door and may the best man win. cheap and real racing for the fans,
