Brad, those who have been rendered "innocent" by the virtue of names being changed would be ill-advised to make a "confession" at this point in time. Suffice it to say, this is Southern California, we are drag racers, and we were living the dream!

My personal favorite among all drag racing-themed television productions will continue to be the C.H.I.P's episode that was filmed at Terminal Island Raceway in November 1980 and aired in the spring of 1981. That's the easiest money I ever made with a race car. Lambeck, Barkley, Jeff Wood, and a bunch more...

Carlsbad had a hanging tree also. Early evening, the barometer would be 31.00ish, about -100 air density and the cool breeze tail wind made for a very interesting dial and reaction, handwritten time slips from the rescue truck on the return road...........................memories of lots of fun! That episode was kinda the idea behind Big Willie and Terminal Island, about the oddest track I ever raced but very fast. As Chuck said, many a show was filmed there. I really miss that kick back atmosphere.............
