Cars in Comp., Super Stock, and Stock can only set records at Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Divisional events, National Opens, and other specially designated record meets; they can't set records at National events. If you look at the top of the National Quarter-Mile Record Holders page in any issue of National Dragster, you will see the rules and regulations for setting National Records.
The Holzman camp may very well run quicker and faster than the AA/SA record which is 9.61@136.96, and back it up, but it will not count as the National Record.
