Well, we are back home now and have all the dirty clothes unloaded and ready to wash up again, so we can head out to Earlville this week. I have a great time at the races, but it is always good to get back home and see my granddaughters.
We woke up this morning to the sound of raindrops on our roof at about 5:45. Since we were all packed up ready to leave this morning anyway, we got out of there before we were stuck. Where we were parked was really soft and we sure didn't want to have to be pulled out. Oh, a note from last night, I was talking to a friend of Sam Murray's who is from Maine. (I'm sorry but I forgot his name.) He said that on Saturday morning was the first time he had been called up to race while the moon was still up. With Indy being at the western part of the eastern time zone, it was still dark when stock was getting ready to run. Well, hopefully we will be back on the road by Thursday to do some more racing and reporting. Earlville and Belle Rose are our favorite races. We are looking forward to seeing our Division 5 friends and probably a few from Div. 3 also. I imagine Steve Koppein will be there so we can congratulate him on his Brainerd win in person. Later. Patsy & Larry And thanks for all your thanks. |
