If you have a NHRA drivers licenses, there is a spot that asks if you have had a DUI

Where do you see that? Perhaps I'm getting blind in my old age but I don't see that question on the paperwork.

The license renewal form asks for current drivers license and renewal date. What happens if you "lose" your license between NHRA renewal dates? I've never been asked to show my current drivers license at an event, only my competition license and membership card.

If you do not have a valid drivers license you are not allowed to have an NHRA license.

I think you are on your "honor" to let NHRA know if you loose your license.

Question Re: Drug Testing perNHRA

Couple questions

so how does nhra pick someone to be drug tested? is it Radom or can someone point the finger at someone and have them tested?

if you get a DUI and loose you license but you have a permit to drive to and from work can you still race at NHRA events?

Great that NHRA suspended a Pro Stock Motorcycle rider "BECAUSE" HE did not show UP FOR THE test.. HE HAD 24 hours TO SHOW UP.

CLERMONT, Ind. - Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Matt Guidera has been disqualified from this event and suspended for a period of one year it was announced today by NHRA officials.
Guidera failed to comply with the NHRA's drug testing policy within the required 24-hour time period.

NHRA drivers have 24 hours from the time they receive the drug testing paperwork from the testing lab to comply with the policy during the drug testing process.

Guidera will retain his points in the NHRA Full Throttle Countdown to the Championship.

Per the NHRA rulebook, Guidera is entitled to an appeal.
Nice to see how you already condemned him. In the interview with him today he claimed he had shown up in time... just wasn't able to "produce" sufficient volume in the cup. Big difference between not showing up and this I feel. Should be interesting to see if he wins his appeal. That said, it's a good thing to have the random testing.

He can CLAIM anything he wants but the fact remains he did not do a drug test within the prescribed 24 hours. He needs to take responsibility for his own inactions.

If we as sportsman racers must follow the rules then all Pro's should have to do the same. I did not condemned him I just copied what was printed on Drag Central per NHRA.

At the track yesterday it was 85 degrees my two kids were racing Jr's. I drank 4 32oz bottles of gatorade, a few diet drinks and some water. I pee'd one time from 1pm til 9pm I would hate to think I got tossed for not producing enough on a hot day when we are dehydrated. If that is true, and he didnt produce enough its sad. If I was him I would want the results posted if possible.

Random testing. I believe I can remember it starting back in the early 90's. I ran Super Comp and a little Comp Eliminator back then. Never was selected, but knew others that were.
