no secret here,,,,i have seen cams fail due to way to much sping presure,walmart oil,just the wrong lifter choice,,,my suggestion would be start with a set of break in springs(low tension) run high idle 2000 rpm when it hits 190 degrees shut it down let it cool back to160 refire,bring it back to 190 degrees , use good oil,joe gibbs or any oil that have the extra zinc ,it wouldnt hurt to throw in a breakin lube ,comp cams has a additive that works good used it several times,put the heavy springs to it and have fun
