Bill, What I am saying is NHRA wants us lowly sportsman racers to get out of they way for the money makers ie PROS. We don't bring in enough fan's to cover the expense of having us there plus at the small races everyone will get to go home earlier so there will be less payroll for the track to payout. We are a necessary evil left over from the Wally Parks way of running the club.

Phillip,
I agree with almost everything you say, but none of that has anything to do with a double red light rule. If I'm wrong, show me what it is I don't understand. The double red light won't speed anything up. The only thing you said I don't agree with is that NHRA "spends money" running the Stock and S/S program. I think they MAKE money from these cars and it would COST them money if they shut that program down. They will TELL you it costs them money, but the figures just don't support that. I think they know that and just want the racers in Stock and S/S to think that NHRA is doing them a FAVOR by letting them run... PR gone awry...

It takes the exact same amount of time to run a sportsman class with a "first" redlight rule as it does a "worst" redlight rule. This is totally irrelevant.

NHRA should just get rid of all of you "Dime Rockets" and "Low Class Scum" and combine A,B and C into a headsup eliminator that the spectators can relate to. They could call it "Top Stock! Can I have some more of that Kool Aid?

Some one on here suggested to disqualify any one that red lights. Both red lite both go home. That would help speed the program. I bet you would see the number of 00 lights go down.
