Angry Re: Vegas Class Eliminations

NHRA has announced a scheduling change for Stock and Super Stock class eliminations at the upcoming Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, Oct. 29-Nov. 1 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Due to a total pre-entry in excess of 700 cars, including more than 130 entries each in Stock and Super Stock, it has become necessary to run Stock and Super Stock class eliminations Thursday. All Stock and Super Stock competitors will be given one qualifying run Thursday morning with round one of class eliminations scheduled for approximately noon Thursday to avoid the potential of cold temperatures in the evening.

Tech and registration are still open all day Thursday.

Geez, tech and registration are still open all day Thursday...how generous...

But they're doing it to help us...it potentially could be cold out Thursday evening, and we know how loose those stockers can get when they come off the stop...but if the Grade A fuel car show with all the big name stars (August, Joon, Neergaard, Natass, etc.) oil the track excessively on Friday or Saturday and we get behind, be prepared to run until midnite...it will be safe then...

Advertise class, set huge quotas, fill the fields, and then give one TT...

They make it rather hard to defend their position at times...

They could do a T&T on Wednesday for $150. That should help everybody.
