Hey,
I do run that combo. It is a K, and if I had more time to really work on it, I could do better with it. Yes, you can bracket race it, but with it being a small cube motor, its not as consistant as say a 400+ bracket motor. Weather will have its effects on any engine, but it seems to be, to me, a little more affected.
They are durable. If I spent some money and some serious time, I could make it go 1 under, but with all thats goin on, it'll have to be content at 70 or so.
Just know that the 305 combo's , all of them have had the sh_t run out of them, so if you are looking at being in the top ten qualifiers, look elsewhere. There are a few of us hardheaded individuals that run this combo, but as Alan said, I may have been better served to stay with the 307 Olds.... I have thought about that more than once.
If you want, PM me, and I will be glad to share ...some... things ! I learned a while back, that these guys you see and hear about, have all worked on the thier combos , so that they do run hard, and with the work involved, you dont just give it out ! You earn it!
That being said, I loved Stockers before I got this one, and still do, probably even more, now. Its all in the challenge ahead! Just know how deep it is, when you're ready to dive in !!

Thanks guys, I think I am going to stick with the 305 combo because as Bob was saying, parts are cheaper, and easier to come by.
PM's sent !

The bolt on one is legal. I use the HR Bar.
