Didn't Danny Bird or someone with a Chevy 11 run into a problem with a
seat that was out of a 4 door in his 2 door (non folding back) and it had to be corrected?
That seems to indicate that some techs want the correct seat.

you'd think a non-folding seat would be preferred as a safety item.
i'd like to run a stationary seat in my rambler, that damn thing'll go both ways...

I heard a rumor that these would be required for Stock Eliminator contestants next year. Something about needing more room for Top Sportsman and Dragster..

I'm sure the recliners will be nice when Glendora's got the Stockers in the staging lanes at 6:30-7:00 a.m. at Nat. Events in the near future.... WJ

In the near future? I guess you haven't warmed up a stocker well before the sun came up at Gainesville.

There is such a thing as "warming one up" at Gainesville ? lol.... was there a couple months ago and I thought I was gonna pass out 2 minutes after my sock helmet and gloves went on......

I joked with the old man that all we needed to get the driveline toasty were a couple of those roll up mylar mirrors on the ground.

hey, while we're on this subject, can you "notch" the seat for shifter clearance?
it's gonna be pretty close....
Notching the seat is not a problem. When we notched the bench in our Nova , we just welded a hoop in there to keep the seat strong and make it easier for recovering it.

Hi Paul, we are building an 86 Camaro that will be legal for stock elim. It will have the motor out of the Nova at first, then the plan is to build a stocker motor someday. Just reading the rulebook and asking the experts some questions to clear things up.

Looks like Jeff Lee reads the rule like me, however it was stated that someone got in trouble for using 4 door chevy II seats in a two door.
