Ok, Im planning a Phase II 904 tranny.....Im pretty solid on everything I want in there except the sun shell, has anyone used an alloy sun shell in their tranny.
Id love to hear the experiences, that and alloy plates are major items I need to consider, it will cut almost 3 1/2 lbs rotating mass out. So that very very attractive. This is for an A/SA Auto car. I really really truly do not want to go with a protrans, and I have my reasons, Id rather break a 904 every year, and thats about what I figure 2 seasons max (and have a spare ![]() Cheers Chris |

Chris,
In 19 years I have broke my pro-trans twice. We average about 80 runs a year. I don't think an alloy (aluminum) sun shell will stand up. Aluminum plates see Mike Fuller. |
