I understand, but the run was an actual 10.14. And, you can put whatever "tilt" you want to put on that, it was a flippen awsome run. Especially at altitude.

I agree, all I question is that they didn't make it an OFFICIAL run,and the way they avoided it.That's all.

Lingenfelter fired the car up in the lanes and it died. Never would start. Took the carb apart and a piece of that silicone had found its way up in there. Hell of a thrash, though. That guy was an amazing individual.
That's right Todd & Tom, I was there . What happened was John L. broke the whole motor mount boss off the left side of the block. There was a helicopter pilot on the grounds selling rides and John hired him to fly back to his shop to get another block that he had machined and was ready to go. by the time they got back, the other racers and friends had the old block out and everything disassembled with the parts all cleaned and laid out on the back of his ramp truck. They had it back together I think around 2pm in time for the first round. It drove up to the line but flooded out when he tried to leave. Awesome thrash! Bob Michael

Seeing David Bogner win the Vegas Nationals was pretty sweet.

I think Danny Byrd's win in Memphis should be considered another "Sportsman Moment" of the year...
