Maybe the indexes will be raised. The last thing that Stock and Super Stock Eliminator needs is a few less cars.Lowering the index more than two tenths will definately result in even smaller fields.Maybe only a few cars, but at some races, track owners need all of the participation that they can get.

I'll go $4.42 cents on two tenths.Any more than that and its just another nail in the coffin for SS/S.

The rumor is 3 tenths. This has more to do with making AHFS easier to manage rather than a penalty to a few slow cars.

Heh? "Easier to manage"? It's all relative... it's just a barometer.

It sure is easier for them to move the index .30 than it is to pick the car up .30. I'd rather they hit my combination with 10HP than move the indexes!

Michael, no you don't.
Well, now that I'm on the subject, I think that to "Drop the Indexes" correctly, the NHRA needs to look at its AHFS data and "drop" some indexes more than others. The upper classes (minus AA and A) seem to be "running away" from most of the lower class (or "no class" or "cheap *** sack of class" or maybe "lazy dirtbag no class")cars. If they are going to change them then maybe it's time to "bring things in line" a bit. Come to think of it, it would help the upper class (or "d**k swingers class" or "all I do is work on my car because I don't have a life class" or maybe "my accountant said that I have to spend a lot of money"class) cars stay away from the horsepower triggers without hurting the "bottom feeders" (lowlife scum that they are). Not to leave out SS, maybe look at the "hood scoop" cars vs. everyone else.
Hey, that felt good! Billy

you know Billy, not all of us with an upper class car fit those descrptions, you shouldn't pait with such a broad brush. I for one would not like to see our indexes dropped as the Cobra Jets and Challengers will be able to run that much faster

Billy I "resemble" that remark. I have a hood scoop the doubles as a parachute. LOL
