there really isn't any reason you shouldn't beel able to be competitve. Engine specs are very similar to the 1976 models that run competively. The dual plug head design and EDIS may take a while to figure out but shouldn't be a big problem. Go to www.wilsonracingms.com for MS2 bolt in engine management system. Bo at www.bo-port.com can help with head and cam.
I have 1992 that I originally was going to run but then got the Turbo Copue and decided to go different direction with the 92 Mustang. I know with what I played around with on the '92 2.3l it wasn't that far off and way over weight. I should have been able to be competitive. Good Luck.
